ocal Taxes for HoganTaylor LLP based in their Tulsa Office. Mr. Smith has over twenty years of Tax Experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University, in 1990 and passed the CPA exam in 1994.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University, in 1990 and passed the CPA exam in 1994. His career began in Tulsa as an auditor for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Tom conducted sales and use as well as severance tax audits throughout Oklahoma and Kansas. While working for the state he also conducted numerous training classes and testified as an expert witness for the State of Texas.
Tom began his work in public accounting in 1996 with Coopers and Lybrand. Since then he had offices in Memphis and Atlanta with Ernst & Young. Before joining HoganTaylor in 2010, Tom was leading the indirect tax practice for KPMG’s Dallas Business Unit. Tom is a certified public accountant in Oklahoma and Texas.
